After Rabi was born, Bapak left Parliament, and we returned to Banda Hilir.
Bapak lost his job when he left Parliament and returned to Banda Hilir. His superior (employer) wrote evil of him when he suddenly quit his job, giving 24 hours notice.
Bapak was happy that he was back in Banda Hilir. But he was jobless! An Indian friend helped him and Bapak got his teaching job back.
Bapak resumed teaching at Sekolah Menengah Gajah Berang, Melaka. I haven't been to this school.
The school was new and was 4 years old. It was established in 1956. It is on Jalan Gajah Berang road and sited near the Indian sector of Malacca, near the Chettis, between Tranquera and Jalan Hang Tuah. The school is 13 min drive (4.5 km) or 41 min walk (3.2 km) from Masjid Banda Hilir (home).
The school was officiated when Bapak was there. It was officiated by a man whose name was the same as the man whom Bapak ran away from in Parliament. Bapak then left the school and went overseas.
